Hello everyone. Had been rather quiet in the past few days. I spent some considerable time on the phone with phlatino . I think I better rephrase this. What I mean with that is that he, phlatino, spent a lot of time with me improving server settings and tweaking the machine so that we can get more out of it. Sometimes the server goes into a rebellious mode and restores default values which then slow the server down again. It’s because of this that you may have seen some temporary slow moments and then faster episodes.  If you have some time do visit him www.spandexguys.com/phlatino and say hi. You will see that the request for donations has disappeared on the left side of the site and replaced by two banners. We are still highly dependent on donations so I have put a more visible button on the top menu bar. The banners are from Spandexman in the USA and Cyclone, a fellow member from England.  

We are temporarily testing advertising and both Spandexman and Cyclone have graciously agreed to participate.  They both offer goods or services which are of good quality and of specific interest to the community which is why we’ve chosen them plus I am familiar with both and have had a good experience in both cases.  Don't be worried that we will flood you with advertising. We will keep it all to a minimum.
